GHS students accept around $100,000 in scholarships

The Graham High School Scholarship Awards Ceremony was held this week and awarded around $100,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors. Over 100 scholarships were provided by 68 local benefactors, clubs and agencies.

The ceremony was held Monday, April 29 at Memorial Auditorium and welcomed parents, staff and visitors to support GHS students receiving scholarships. Graham ISD Superintendent Sonny Cruse welcomed those to the ceremony.

“This evening is a very special occasion because we honor students who have worked very hard and exhibited quality and excellence in their academic, and or, extracurricular endeavors while at Graham High School. This is especially significant this evening, because tonight marks the 38th year for this event,” he said. “Mrs. Pauline Guinn Jones organized the first scholarship and awards program. ...We are grateful to live in a community that chooses to honor their graduating seniors in such a generous way.”
