Newcastle Lady Cats move to 4-0 in district play

At every point in a season, teams face a test. With district play resuming Tuesday night, Newcastle’s teams hoped to pass with flying colors against Graford. While the Lady Cats continued their march towards a possible district title, the Bobcats weren’t as fortunate against the No. 9 Rabbits, losing 95-34 and dropping them to 0-2 in district play. Newcastle was scheduled to continue district play Friday night against Bryson. Both teams will play at home Tuesday, Jan. 24, against Throckmorton when the Lady Cats begin the second half of district play. Friday night, Jan. 27, Newcastle’s teams take on Woodson at home. Newcastle 67, Graford 41 With both teams entering at 3-0 in district play, Graford and Newcastle had plenty to play for. Ultimately, it was the Lady Cats who moved to 4-0 with a convincing victory.
