The 11th Annual Run for the Children 10K, 5K and 1K fun run was Saturday, May 21, and benefited Virginia’s House/ Dr. Goodall’s House. Virginia’s House in Graham is a Family Resource Center dedicated to helping children who are victims of abuse or neglect. The organization uses programs that encourage prevention, intervention, education and advocacy to meet the needs of these children.

The start and finish line was at Third Street and Oak on the downtown square for the 10K and 5K. The 1K fun began at the start line and ran up Third street inside the square and ended at the finish line. All children who participated in the fun run were presented with a ribbon.

  • 1st - Jason Briles - Race Number 8328 - 00:21:42 - Male
  • 2nd - Bonita Jeter - Race Number 8296 - 00:21:55 - Female
  • 3rd - Kaylee Little - Race Number 8270 - 00:22:32 - Female

 

Overall Winners 10K:

  • 1st - Jacob Shaffer - Race Number 8237 - 00:38:36 - Male
  • 2nd - Abigail Gonzalez - Race Number 8216 - 00:41:19 - Female
  • 3rd - Nathan Bueno - Race Number 8223 - 00:47:15 - Male
