Pound cake, fair winners crowned

The champions were chosen in the Pound Cake Bake-Off for the 2010 Young County Junior Livestock Show. The senior grand champion of the bake-off was Katharyn Camp, winning $100 in prize money, and the junior grand champion was Meghan Camp, winning $75. Twenty cakes were entered with participants from all over the county. During the premium sale, two cakes were auctioned off for $1,200 that goes back to the Young County Show Board for future livestock shows.
There were 48 entries in the 2010 Young County Fair. The results in the art division were first place junior art, water color, Hayley Ondricek; first place junior art, photography, Hayley Ondricek; first place junior art, drawing: Jacy Williams; first place intermediate art, photography, Hunter Riggins; first place intermediate art, painting, Kalysta Kee; first place senior art, photography, J.R. Warren; first place senior art, drawing, Tim Warren; first place adult art, painting, Joe Bob Whitaker; first place adult art, photography, Whitaker Farm and Ranch; first place senior sculpture, Tim Warren; grand champion art, Hayley Ondricek; and reserve champion art, Hunter Riggins.
